sure would be great to see your support for HR 676.  single payer is the best we can do...everybody in, nobody out!   let's pay our fellow citizens good wages to administer payment (accountable to us)  to our fellow citizens to provide the healthcare we all need (accountable to us)   overhead for administration drops to va and medicare numbers.....  we don't need middle men sucking money out for money changing......  healthcare is one of our commons and who better to provide for us than us.

→1/12/17 as i'm listening to news and commentary I have become very suspicious.....it feels like “don't look here, look over here, look over here........” I still keep coming back to, there is no hope until we get out the mirrors and start owning it. The evil that is done in our name and colored over is heartbreaking. And most of the time it's the juvenile “i know you are, but what am I .“ I am certainly not saying there aren't bad guys lurking everywhere but our behavior is everywhere from questionable to illegal and immoral. (attacking, invading and occupying Irag on march 20^th 2003 based on lies....and the people who called Iraq home continue to pay....don't forget after the bullets and blood cease ...depleted uranium =genocide)..... and we continue to pledge allegiance and call ourselves the good guys. And I long to be the good guys. I don't believe good guys are made from competition and answering evil with evil. And this idea that we need to improve our nukes.....we still have by far the most and we are the only ones that have ever used them against other humans. And we should get back to torture....yikes!!! I can still see dead-eye dark side-dick watching in the basement....will there be tweets??? our karma is building. I will continue to try to find my path.

 I am still struggling to understand how so many among us could put all of the earth in such peril. And there is not nearly enough dark humor to cover this one. I have a strong need to stand with the many in my community who get it. I am fucking pissed. Right now all I can do is try to really believe most of the rubes did not mean it. as we continue our race to the bottom less of us will be comfortable and distracted.(bread and circus) This morning I have the luxury of meeting with my tree board friend and talk about rain gardens. The city of Ferndale is interested.

 In this age of invasive media with many entries into ones psych, it was just a matter of when.........our symptoms are on display and we have a poster boy of the orange race leading this nation of people. I diagnose him (I admit I am not qualified) as having an extreme anti social personality disorder dripping in narcissism. (is that where the orange comes from ???). Two of the defining characteristic are obvious and have been mastered. The mimicking of behavior has been achieved. And don't forget, charming is a verb. It certainly helped launch his journey to be born on third base and thought he'd hit a triple. And a totally absent emotion of empathy makes it easier to cheat, lie and steal as needed to advance. I am certain there is no repair or drug to treat this personality and the only strategy if you encounter such a person is to immediately make sure they are not in your life. Even persons on the lower end of the continuum can make your life a living hell. WTF!!!!

We are in for some bad shit ! As the most pessimistic person I know..me, I was lacking much hope and yet longed for it. Now I am working my way through the grief process and trying to find the way forward. When this personality inserts themselves into your life and has the power to make your life a living hell and there is no way to rid them what is the plan.?????  So I have two books coming....the mask of sanity and another more recent book updating his work from 1941.

11/30/2016 November is almost over.....the normalizing of this fascist leap on steroids continues..... I am trying to find my way. Still haven't started smoking cigarettes but it crosses my mind. As his ilk continues to emerge from the swamp to assist in the administration of this horror my pessimistic first place standing increases.

12-4-16 Had a fine time with my peeps at the dems annual holidaze party last evening. Thank you Alex for sharing a rant on the horrific place we find ourselves (as we set up before the event) and thank you Bobby for shutting me up and giving me hope as you shared a glimpse of the work you are doing. It was so great to eat, drink, and be merry with the best. Oh and thank you Trouble for sharing the work load and greeting all arrivals. I know everyone is processing what to do and it's good to have friends to do this with. I do hear the message that it's time to move forward and I get that. I still haven't figured out what that means for me. I'm still suffering from TAD (trump anxiety disorder) and

continue to have waves of despair, forgetfulness and disorganization. The list of greedy selfish swamp brew who appear to be lining up to “lead” our nation and interact with the rest of the world, will, in my opinion, be a horrific legacy. happy playing with fire in July day

 this was a bad year! I have survived bad years in the past. The year the guy across the street had mortars mounted on tables at the edge of his property aimed at the sky over my house comes to mind. Two big bags of garbage collected on my quarter acre. Can used fire toys be recycled? This year the foreplay started a few days before the ultimate orgasm. I am speaking from the morning after. All day yesterday there was noise near and far. I don't get the loud, startling, ear injuring boom that seems so popular.... my reaction,when I'm being as nice as I can, is to yell “WHY !!!???”

I spent the days before getting my quarter acre as wet as I could. And I do realize it won't matter if someone nearby lights peckerheadville on fire. I guess from previous garbage gathering on my lot, I figure if something landed with any heat left there would be no fuel. This year was a war zone. I was miserable. My cats were miserable. The two old residents, normally living outside, came in and would not leave. My feral family disappeared. They did not come in for their normal evening feeding. I wonder how this horribly offensive, invasive behavior is allowed and encouraged. It is so rude and that's the nicest thing I can think of to say.

And I heard on the news that veterans, who were subjected to the horrors of actual war zones, are now subjected to the pretend war zones if they happen live in communities where fire toys are allowed, as those who live where they are banned come to get their rocks off. Why is such behavior allowed and even sold?? It is pathology on steroids. Our symptoms are on display. And then I felt the shame and sorrow for those who have hosted our war zones. They don't get to get up to a quiet predictable day after surviving the fake war zone brought to their neighborhood. I thought of river, who blogged from Iraq after our illegal, immoral attack, invasion and occupation of her home in 2003. I think it's time to look ourselves in the mirror.

As far as play with fire day, I think it would be good to change the name to interdependence day and recognize our common connections. If folks felt the need to play with fire on that day, I would be ok with public displays put on by licensed pyrotechnicians. Those of us who do not enjoy this could hide out somewhere. Sorry for those who live near a chosen public site. Wish we could stop this rude offensive behavior.

I think this story by Chris Hedges speaks to the profound sadness about where we find ourselves today.  The war criminals who orchestrated the immoral, illegal war continue to live the high lives.  Dead eye dark side dick got the best healthcare money can buy and a heart.  Their children are seen bringing commentary, as if they have qualifications.  The price we are going to end up paying in blood and treasure is on our descendants credit cards.  And the people who got to host this horror are paying and will pay forever.  Depleted (not) uranium = genocide.

I used to follow River on her blog, Baghdad Burning, to hear what was happening in her country.  The last post was October 22, 2007 as she started her life as a refugee in Syria.  I wonder where she is now.

If confirmed by the Senate, one of Rice’s first duties likely would be consideration, and potentially approval, of the controversial mega-project. Rice's financial holdings could raise questions about her status as a neutral decision maker. The current U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Rice owns stock valued between $300,000 and $600,000 in TransCanada, the company seeking a federal permit to transport tar sands crude 1,700 miles to refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast, crossing fragile Midwest ecosystems and the largest freshwater aquifer in North America. Beyond that, according to financial disclosure reports, about a third of Rice’s personal net worth is tied up in oil producers, pipeline operators, and related energy industries north of the 49th parallel -- including companies with poor environmental and safety records on both U.S. and Canadian soil. Rice and her husband own at least $1.25 million worth of stock in four of Canada’s eight leading oil producers, as ranked by Forbes magazine. That includes Enbridge, which spilled more than a million gallons of toxic bitumen into Michigan’s Kalamazoo River in 2010 -- the largest inland oil spill in U.S. history.    full article

Rail Infrastructure

I am very concerned about the effect on Amtrak passenger service of the increased number of trains using our rail infrastructure if GPT starts shipping coal and using our rail infrastructure to get increasing amounts of coal from Wyoming and Montana. I have had the pleasure of using Amtrak to travel from my home in Ferndale, Wa. This is especially true in the winter, when travel may not otherwise be possible for me. It is my understanding that freight has precedence over passenger rail traffic.  We pulled over in “the middle of nowhere” a few times to wait for rail freight to pass.   I can't imagine what the trip south from Bellingham will be like with the increased freight.

I would also imagine our infrastructure would have to be improved to accommodate the increased load.  It is my understanding that the railroad is only responsible for 5% of this cost and we the people are going to get the bill for the rest.  I am very concerned that the increased, extremely heavy coal traffic would put a lot of stress on our rail infrastructure.  Who will pay for upgrades and repairs? I hope the scoping attention will be very seriously focused on all aspects of rail use and especially the increased load that the increased coal shipping would have on our rail infrastructure. I am very concerned there will be no passenger rail if our infrastructure is dominated by this increased freight.

I would like to know that Amtrak service will continue and, as it becomes more important to me in my senior years, it would be my hope that our rail infrastructure would serve we the people in that way.

Diesel

As a resident of Ferndale and Whatcom County, I am very concerned about the increased diesel particulate in my atmosphere with the increased rail traffic, very large loading and unloading machines and giant ships in the harbor 24/7.  It is my understanding that ships are fueled by bunker oil, which is a very heavy substance left over after other fuels have been distilled from crude oil.  It has high sulfur content and causes serious air quality concerns when burned as fuel.  It is also speeding the devastating acidification of our oceans. The increase of dangerous particulate, very small in size, from regular diesel and the even dirtier bunker oil will go deep into the lungs of all, causing serious increased health issues. As a mother and grandmother of humans living in the wake of this pollution, I am very concerned about the health risks and degraded environment. Please put a serious amount of scoping attention on the extremely dirty bunker fuel used by the giant deepwater shipping vessel and all the increased diesel used from the coal extraction to it's destination in China.

Overall Irresponsibility

I live in Ferndale Washington. I am very close to the proposed coal shipping terminal and rail path and I am concerned about being a conduit to this irresponsible project. We are long past peak atmosphere and it's time to take the effects of this fossil fuel orgy we have been on seriously. From the barbaric extraction of coal from a river basin and all the environmental damage there, to the impacts along the rail transport, to the diesel and bunker diesel particulate burned into our atmosphere, to the 80 acres coal pile waiting to be loaded on giant deep water ships and ultimately burned in China this is a shameful legacy to those who come after. Coal, as a form of energy production, should go the way of whale oil, if we value the lives of our descendents.

I have also written specifically about the huge increase in diesel particulates degrading our already endangered oceans and atmosphere and the affects on our rail infrastructure, but I think the big picture overall devastating consequences should stop us from considering this insanity.

I hope all the externalities, especially the degradation of our land, air and water, will be given the highest level of attention and not just swept under the rug and put on our descendants credit cards.

At the very least, we should be compensated. If the pipeline is to go through our state, shouldn’t the citizens be paid annually, much like the citizens of Alaska are paid to have the pipeline pass through their state? Arguably, the impact of rail conveyance of millions of tons of coal annually would be much more invasive than the pipeline.

To even be considering this use of the earth's finite resources is the height of irresponsibility and greed. We can and should do so much better if we care about out descendants future.

 hemp is not a drug, we should immediately start growing this plant as if our descendents future depended on it. (watch the movie "hemp and the rule of law" to understand)

 quit using our precious water supplies for barbaric extraction (hydraulic fracturing) and dangerous expensive nuclear energy production.

 no dirty tar to go thru our country.

 single payer healthcare

 end the "industrial complex profit everything" for anything that involves our commons.

 all of the above would be a good start
