Brandland challenger holds fundraiser in Seattle

State Senate candidate Jesse Salomon, who questioned Sen. Dale BrandlandÂ’s aggressive corporate fundraising, will hold a Seattle gala to raise money for his campaign.
The event for Salomon, a Democrat running against the former Whatcom County sheriff, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Newmark Tower, 1415 Second Ave.

"The invitees to my fundraiser are personal friends and acquaintances from when I went to the University of Washington School of Law," he says.

Salomon said "big corporate donors" such as Anheuser-Busch and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America - both have donated to BrandlandÂ’s campaign - will not be among those attending.
