Although Democrats hold a majority in the House and Senate, there's still a lot for progressives to do. In the House the Progressive Caucus is the largest grouping of Democrats, but added together 'New Democrats' and Blue Dogs still out number progressives. The situation in the Senate isn't any better.And that's why much of what people voted for in '06 hasn't come to pass in Congress. Jim Hightower has some pointed thoughts on the subject:
