He Doesn't Recall

WASHINGTON, April 19 — Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales, trying to salvage his job, endured withering questioning on Thursday from Senate Judiciary Committee members who expressed grave doubts about his truthfulness and judgment in the firing of federal prosecutors. ...

His performance clearly exasperated the committee members, who were angered as he invoked a faulty memory more than 50 times. ... (NYT article)

Obviously once he's ousted from the DoJ, Alberto won't be moving on to an acting career.

Al ( as the President calls him) is trying his best. Unfortunately, he wasn't trained to be in charge of the whole Justice Dept.
Most of us would know that we wouldn't be able to remember everything that happened, everyday while making decisions and talking to IMPORTANT people. So, most of us would be keeping track in a diary, of sorts; a daily log, with the basics of what happened. DA!
He has definately lost all credibility- but of George still likes Al, he probably really wants to say " Your doing a heck of a job, Al". Before releasing him to the ethers. He is after all the protege of George W. Bush, so whose fault is all of this anyway? I hope Al is only the first to go but I'd like to see him charged with the criminal acts that go along with him.
